Vortal awarded contract in the Czech Republic
Vortal Connecting Business, a leading electronic market operator, has signed a concession agreement with the Government of the Czech Republic for e-Procurement platform services over the next five years, totalling € 12,500,000.
This contract follows Vortal's invitation to submit a bid presenting its vortalGOV platform, indicated by the analyst company Gartner as one of the four most noteworthy public procurement platforms worldwide.
According to Miguel Sobral,Vice President of Vortal, "this is an important contract for the international development of Vortal in addition to providing a solid foundation to approach other Central European markets such as Germany, Hungary, Poland or Slovakia". Read more >

Vortal received the UK Trade Investment Business Award from the hands of Prince Charles
This year the "UKTI Business Award" was assigned to Vortal, among other companies, as a result of its recent investment in opening a office in the UK in September 2010.
The award was presented during the official visit of Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall to Portugal.
UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is the British governmental organization that supports the international expansion of businesses in the UK, as well as the promotion of foreign investment.
